ROS 2 bag (local)

Studio can inspect pre-recorded ROS 2 .bag data, stored locally on your computer.

After adding ROS 2 Bag (local) as a data source, select the directory containing your ROS 2 data to load it into Studio. The directory should contain the following:

  • metadata.yaml – Required for playback
  • .db3 files – Database files for sqlite3

Current limitations

Due to upstream limitations of ROS 2, ROS 2 .bags cannot decode custom message type definitions for useful visualization in Studio.
