Announcing our $40M Series B to scale our data platform for Physical AI.
While software ate the digital world, much of our physical world – manufacturing, logistics, transportation, agriculture, construction, aerospace, and defense – looks the same as it did decades ago. But this is changing rapidly: breakthroughs in foundation models, sensor technology, and edge computing have reached an inflection point, creating Physical AI that can sense, think, and act autonomously. Teams that win in the physical world are those who can create a data flywheel, leveraging infrastructure to capture, ingest, analyze, and evaluate the vast quantities of data generated by real-world systems.
I’m excited to announce our $40M Series B, led by Alexandra Sukin and Jeremy Levine at Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Eclipse Capital, Amplify Partners, and Icehouse Ventures. I’m also honored to welcome many new angel investors including Tobi Lütke, Alex Kendall, Milan Kovac, Brad Porter, Boris Sofman, Kevin Peterson, Chris Walti, Robert Sun, and Lindon Gao. This financing cements our position as the leader in Physical AI infrastructure, and more importantly, enables us to continue expanding our platform to support the end-to-end data lifecycle of development, testing, and operations in the physical world.
Robotics data is multimodal, time-synchronized, and bandwidth‑constrained at the edge. Traditional data and observability platforms were only designed to store and query text and time-series data, not petabyte-scale 3D, video, audio, GNSS, and proprioceptive data.
The ability to efficiently capture, ingest, search, visualize, and evaluate multimodal data is critical to the Physical AI development workflow, something we experienced firsthand in the autonomous vehicle industry before founding Foxglove. But this stack was previously only available to those willing to invest tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars building it in-house.
Foxglove is a modern data engine for Physical AI, enabling you to record logs or capture demonstrations at the edge, sync recordings to the cloud or on-premises storage, find critical events across petabytes of data, evaluate robot performance, and watch a 3D frame-by-frame replay using our advanced visualization tool.
“We used to have to reinvent everything, from the hardware to the tools to the labeling systems, and all that infrastructure requires a lot of money, time, and people. When you don’t need that, it shortcuts everything you need to bring out a product dramatically, which brings into focus applications that would’ve been previously infeasible.”
– Boris Sofman, Bedrock Robotics
Building a new product category from scratch isn’t easy, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our early adopters and ongoing feedback from our customers. Foxglove is trusted by the most ambitious companies in Physical AI, from industry titans like NVIDIA and Amazon to fast-growing startups including Wayve, Waabi, Anduril, Saronic, Dexterity, Bedrock Robotics, and The Bot Company.
“Foxglove helped us to supercharge our processes. We went from days to minutes when finding the root cause of an issue.”
– J’aime Laurenson, Wayve
The most rewarding part of this journey has been getting to interact with developers across so many different robotics verticals, and realizing how surprisingly similar the development workflow is across autonomous vehicles, drones, ocean vessels, warehouse robots, and construction equipment. At our recent conference Actuate, it was incredible to see this diversity on display, as we brought together over 500 developers to highlight their challenges and exchange insights.
Today is still Day 1 for Physical AI, and we’re hiring for dozens of roles to assemble the best team in the industry. If you’ve built ML platforms, data infrastructure, dataset curation, evaluation and validation, or visualization tools at a leading robotics or autonomous vehicle company, let’s chat – send me a note on LinkedIn or X and I’ll reply personally.
We believe that robotics will have a massive positive impact over the next decade, and our mission is to build the platform to make it possible.
– Adrian
